Meet famous Welsh sculptor Rebecca Buck from Osprey Studios who will give a free hand on clay workshop and with introducing the proposed community sculpture to be sited at Saxon Hall.

Rebecca said “Saxon Hall is a lovely Community Centre that genuinely works to bring together a growing, diverse community. Using clay is direct and easy- everyone can join in.”

The Tuesday afternoon Accessible Craft Group will be running a free craft workshop for Valentine’s Day, Katie one of the group regulars said, “We are looking forward to meeting potential new members to our friendly multi-skilled group!”

The aim of Coffee, Craft and Chat project, which has been made possible with Community Funding, is to involve the local community centres and cafes to become social craft meeting hubs with taster craft workshops.

Big Skill chair, Trevor Stringer said “The tasters will introduce different crafts and give an opportunity for people to share their skills or just to chill out with a cup of coffee. We would love to hear from local centres and community cafes who are interested in working with us?”

Saxon Hall and ECHO run the community café which is open to all every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10pm-2pm offering light lunches and drinks.

Please come along and support Echo and Saxon Hall, and make use of our book swap within the café area.
