Centre Manager - short term contract - £10 per hr – 10 hr week – start 1st Nov 2020

 

Saxon Hall community centre is located in the Putson district south of Hereford. Run as a not for profit business, it relies on revenue from the hire of its 2 modern halls and meeting room to offset operating costs. Special projects and further development are grant-funded.

 

In normal times it offers a range of educational, recreational, cultural and social activities to the local community. Today it is COVID compliant and operating at reduced capacity as a result.

 

We are offering a 10 hour per week contract for 6 months. Thereafter and following the resumption of normal operations we intend reviewing the requirements of the role and the skills and experience needed to fill it. This broader role may appeal to the successful applicant for this position.

 

Key aspects of the job are:

  • day to day management of the facilities

  • managing health and safety of staff and customers on-site

  • room hire booking and customer liaison

  • promoting the venue via social media

  • facility maintenance planning

Some of the roles can be performed remotely using our up to date IT systems.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Centre Manager enjoys a high degree of delegated authority and trust.
